Thanks for your support last night. It was an awesome show- I hope you guys had a great time. I am not shocked by how many people come in droves to a free show- I just wish the artist do get something in return for their efforts.
We do not have a show at the moment except for our yearly show at Beerland during SXSW. It's just around the corner and I know as it does every year that it will be here soon enough that we will not have the time to prepare or grab a second showing. Anyway, our seven inch should be ready by then. I can't wait to have the final product. - reading Just Kids by Patti Smith, a Christmas gift from my little sister Regina.

This years resolution will be and as always, to live fuller, to be more open, share better, love deeper and be braver than the year before. You can see us for free this weekend at Beerland with the Hex Dispencers and Damn Times. Shit man, you'll definitely need your extra life lines for this show. Be sure to save yourself one or both before then cuz you just might not make it through this weekend. See you at the shows.
December 15th, 2010
We're playing free week with the Hex Dispensers and Damn Times at the Land of Beer January 7th 2011- thanks Alex. We just finished recording two songs for our 7" but It might be delayed- it still need some tweaking. I might also change the vocals on a song. Our engineer also rocks - thanks Jason. I am sure glad to have made the move to your studio.

I hope to see you at Eric's house this weekend. It should be a blast. I heard his house is all black and white and very organized. I'll try to film parts of it and post it here later. Happy Birthday Eric, Suzannimal, and Jillian Jerk. I'll try to update the flyer before I facebook it.

He was an old user, super skinny, junkie face and the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Quiet and eccentric, he really is out of this world and we're celebrating his birthday on the 4th of December at his house. We're playng with his new band called We Know Where You Live and Extravaganza. It's probably our last show for the year. Hopefully we can set up a show during free week- maybe just at Trailer Space.
You still have time to catch the Eastside Studio Tour if you missed it last weekend. I only caught some parts of it cuz of work but I will be free this Sunday to casually visit the tour. I'm hoping the weather will be better.
Our show at Beerland was great and we're happy to be part of John Wesleys record release show. So many great bands and hardly enough time. Thanks again Wesley for a beautiful and memorable evening.
November 11th, 2010
We're playing Beerland at 7:30 now. I just saw the line up earlier. Anyway, I hope you can make it- I think it would be a perfect thing to do after your Saturday East Austin Studio Tour- the tour usually ends after dark - you can probaly get something to eat before the show but do plan on it- it's crazy around the eastside this time of year. I usually just ride my bike to the westside to find a restaurant that is not overtly busy. It's a really neat event and a great break from playing music. I almost forgot, I do have some of my work displayed at Modesty Hair Studio, just across the street from Longbranch Inn.
November 8th, 2010

An all day affair at the Land of Beer with Jonh Wesley Coleman. We're playing around 9pm. Hope you can join us. We're also playing a party on the 4th of December. It's at Eric Unusuals House- I believe it's for his birthday and for Jillians and Suzannes- well that was a mouthful. Have a great week.
November 5th, 2010
So many ideas and so many dreams, if I can just control it in single stream, I would shoot your mind with a lazer beam. Here's a link on our Halloween weekend 2010 here in Austin- Check it mama.
Vague, nothing, less is more, negative space, non being, selfless, action, no judgement, mindful will kill you but the world still spins to kill everyone else- so don't feel so bad for all the things you've done. We're only here for such a short time to be worrying about this and that- LIVE!
November 3rd, 2010
It's a sad day- not even just a little chance.
The cultural revolution died last night with a measley a year of operation. Nothing even happened yet- people are stupid, they have no patience. But this world do not belong to no one but to the future. It will move forward whether we like it or not. It just can't stay the way it was- it's gonna catch up with us sooner or later. Just bite the pill already you're too heavy for us to carry along- I wish I can cut you out but I can't, you're my arms and legs.
On a better note, we have a party to play, a house party at Eric Unusuals house. It's on the 4th of December, just a week shy our recording date. I suppose also Prop 1 passed here in Austin, more bike lanes, better roads for us and more pay for teachers.
October 29th, 2010
There's no better time to lose yourself than during Halloween. You can be anyone you want and be someone cool for once. Man, I should be hanged. Anyway, I still have to come up with a costume or I might just end up as I always do during this time of year- a zombie. Anyway, have more fun than you can handle without getting arrested and be safe.
Were playing a free show with Wesley Coleman the 13th of November- Wes by South Wes, it's his record release party. It's an all day affair. We play during the evening, I hope, I do not get off work till 5:30pm. I am still not sure whose playing - we're not even listed on the bill. Anyway, check it out if you're free and have nothing else to waste your time on. Did I mention that it was free?
I have an art show at Modesty Hair Studio on 11th Street and Lydia just across the street from Longbranch Inn. To be honest I have not painted nor drawn in a few years but I always have been a visual artist before I was even a musician if I even can call my self that. I am just a maker of things really. Anyway, enough with semantics but I have been busy trying to come up with something worth to look at and think about. I am not as clever as I used to be- therefore it's more on looks and not much depth this time around. I will put things up after Halloween. It should be still hanging during the Eastside Studio Tour, though it's not part of the tour. Check it out if you're in the neighborhood.
October 11th, 2010
With more rhythm, sycopated hip shakes and unbleached dirtiness. We're trying some new things on this album- I am pretty sure it will sound different than the last. Heres another video from the show we played at the Parlor- not of us but by the other bands, click here. There still another one I'm working on but have not the time to edit the clips- it should be done soon though. It's a collection of clips I have accumulated composed into a video. It's fun making it. Needless to say I get bored pretty easily, but I really should be playing music.
Reading suggestion for your trip this coming holidays- Stomp and Swerve by David Wondrich. American music history. The best book I've read this year.
October 8th, 2010
We're recording early December for our new 7inch coming out this spring on Super Secret Records. We still have a lot of work to do. I can't wait to get back in the studio but I just wanna get all these pieces squared off.
I just finished another clip from The Parlors Anniversary show. I just post it on our video page.

There are a couple of new videos I've posted on our video page, one is from Richard and the other is the one I took from our recent show at the Parlor- they are actually from the same show. iMovie was really easy to use. I recommend using it if you're just starting out like me. Anyway, enjoy the clips.
Our next show is with John Wesley Coleman at Beerland on the 13th of November - it's his record release party dubbed South by South Wes. Still not sure who else is playing but this show is definitely not to be missed. I'm pretty sure we'll be with great company.
I've also posted some new photos- our dear friend Angel took these during the same show at the Parlor........thanks Angel-
September 27th, 2010
It came as fast as it left us. The channel was beaming bright, the lineage defined. Everyone was indeed playing rock and roll that evening. It was raw, rebelious, uplifting, grooving, dangerous and fucking hot- super burning scorching hot. Anyway, thanks for a beautiful evening and letting us be part of it. I have some footage of the show I would love to share soon - I still have to figure out how to use iMovie. Wish me luck.
September 22nd, 2010

We're playing a show at the Parlor this weekend. It's their tenth year anniversary- other bands playing are the Chumps, Ape-Shits and the Ritchie Whites. We're playing some old songs from our first album, songs we have not played nor practice in years. It's gonna be a another reunion night class of 1998- garage wasn't even cool back then, I might just wear a rain coat. Anyway, pizza beer and rock and roll is always fun. Hope you can make it.
Goner Fest is just a few days away- too bad I can't make it. I'm really itching for a road trip. To anyone going, be safe and have a blast.
september 15th, 2010
here are some fotos I took from our last show at beerland. it turned out to be really fun. shapes have fangs did not make the show but it was still a pretty good bill. I did not attend the after hours at the giant dog compound, I had to work the next morning. hope you enjoy it.

Hello Austin!

Black Panda- too ba it's their last show

September 12th, 2010
It flooded here a little bit last week- I'm just glad that I am mobile now and I do not have to ride my bike in the rain like last year. I love riding but not in rush hour traffic during a thunder storm. I always got sprayed too. We suck at driving in the rain but maybe it's the smart phone factor- look please, I do not wanna get hit by your SUV today.
It was BJ's birthday last Friday. We celebrated with a trip to Salt Lick BBQ just a few minutes drive south of Austin- uhmmmmmmm. I saved all the bones from our plates for Audry- my house mates doggie. She already knew the instant I came in the gates that the brown bag I was holding was for her. She ravaged the bag in one sitting- crazy bitch. Happy birthday BJ- hope you did not open the Bullit after I left.
We should be recording another seven inch soon. Maybe a three song comp. It's a little bit hard to pin things down- I am pretty slow and indecisive with the lyrics but I hope we can find the time to compose the songs as best as we can. I really like the new songs- I think it will surprise you.
Our next show is at the Parlors 10th year anniversary with the Chumps, Ape Shits, Ritchie Whites and a special guest- a secret guest. I think it might be a street punk band- weird, we have not played with those boys in a while. We're practicing songs from our first album- it should be a fun night though.
August 25th, 2010

We just played a great show with A Giant Dog, Black Panda, and The Act Rights. I have been pretty busy lately and have not posted anything. Anyway, the image above is the unfinished flyer I was making for the show. I'll try to use it again for another show. It was Black Panda's final show supposedly. I suppose they are calling it quits. Most of them are actually in other bands already. Thanks for the show Giant Dog!
We also booked another show for the Parlors 10th year anniversary. We're playing with garage legends, the Chumps, the Ape-Shits, and the reuniting Ritchie Whites. It's on September 24th, I think it's a Friday show. It's another back to the future line up- the class of 1999. Even though we do not let our inhibitions loose like it used to be, it's still gonna be a fucking awesome night. I hope there's a cold front just before the show to cool us down. It's already hot enough at the Parlor with the pizza oven at the center of the room, much less with a bunch of kids sweating and huffing the second hand air in this little tiny room. I'll probably need an oxygen mask.
August 18th, 2010

We're playing Aasim's Birthday thing this Friday. It seems like all my friends birthdays are all this week. I hope I'll have enough energy for Friday night. It's been a definite busy week. Happy birthday AJ Sandoval, Jen Tran and of course, Aisim. I hope you're all off till the end of the week. I will surely need the rest.
We're finally at the hottest part of the summer but I suspect it is almost over. The kids are back at school and the public pools will be closing this week- bummer. But don't worry, I'm already praying for cold fronts to come. It never fails, by September it's generally cooler here in Austin.
We have another show booked on the 4th of September at Beerland. It's our first show with A Giant Dog. I just saw them two weeks ago at the Ty Segall show at Emo's- that was the best show I've been to in awhile. Check them out if you have not seen them- I think they're on tour right now too.
August 9th, 2010
Bill's other band, Ichi Ni San Shi, new seven inch is out. You can order it at our labels website: Super Secret Records. They are headed to New York City soon so check them out! They are playing at the Cakeshop and Littlefield in Brooklyn.
We had a blast playing the party last nite. Thanks for all the people that came out. It's great seeing old friends and actually made some new ones. Vidrios and Surrender was amazing! Surrender is touring now, they should be playing near you soon. Despite the heat, the sweat, and dry humpings- it was a really fun show. Thanks for making it memorable!
We are playing Aasim's(Awesome) Birthday Party at the Mohawk on the 20th of this month. I am finally playing with a really old friend of mine from my very first band in highschool- weird. It really has a great line up. We're playing with Glorium, Follow that Bird, The Golden Boys, The Royal Butchers (my ex-band mate from high schools band), Shitty Carwash, Pistol Pistol and The Crystal Fawn. I can't wait- hope you can make the show!
August 1st, 2010

Sandy's Beach, Puerto Rico
We're eating bagels and cookies at the hotel lobby, the pool is only a coupe of yards away. The hot tub is cooking but hardly inviting since it's already almost a hundred degrees out here. The surf is really small today, it's been this way throughout the whole trip. I can't hardly turn a long board but that's all they have to rent.
I love their coconut ice cream, it reminds me of home but there's also corn and pineapple. That's all I've been eating here beside the Brother's cheese pizza. My sister and her boys are vegetarians and I also think pizza is best without meat- It's greasy enough with the cheese. I still want maybe mushrooms, eggplant or garlic on my pizza but the boys are not accustomed to the taste of vegetables- weird. Yet anyhow.
I get back to Austin on Wednesday- I wish I did not have to. I miss the ocean so badly. Anyway, we're playing a show at a party on the 8th of August with Surrender and Vidrios- just behind I heart video on Airport Blvd. Come hang out, it should be a fun time.
July 19th, 2010
These sounds ringing in different level like a 3D puzzle but more random and not quite a good fit. Our reaction is almost always not to conform. And we are learning and aware where we were and where not to be. We want to move forward, dammit!
We are playing a party on the 8th of August. It's on a Sunday but Timmy promised it should end early, it should be done around 9pm. Surrender from San Fran and Criaturas are also on the bill. Location: a house just behind I heart video on Airport Blvd. Come.
Now I'm ready to close my mind
and now I'm ready to feel your hand
and lose my heart in the burning sand
and now I wanna be your dog

We were a moving target. We rode as far as we could go only to come to a dead end. I could not think of anything else to say and I really did not care. I knew these words you've already heard and it's really not a surprise where all these roads are going. It's hard to fight something that you're a part of- it's like kicking the chair from under you- everyday is a struggle and also a tease. You can almost see through the other side sometimes but also feeling the grip on your neck tightening slowly. The paranoia, a conspiracy? What, are you high? There's no escape here but in death- ceasing to exist. It's like what the Buddha said, "all you need to make a song is a girl and a gun" so we decided to make one.
June 28th, 2010
We just got our European version of our latest album from Mads of Mastermind Records and Cola Freaks. Thanks Mads- it looks great. It has a different cover from our U.S. release.
We are playing with MOTO and Midnight Creeps on our next show at Beerland- thanks for the show Timmy. It's on a Friday night, the 9th of July. It's gonna be a great fun weekend- might as well ask for some days off afterwards. Just to be on the safe side.

June 21st, 2010
It's officially summer but it's been super hot here for over a month now. Our friend Garett invited us to play this Friday with his band, Dead Space, at Beerland. I hope you're not sick of us yet- this is the most we have played in a while. The bill include Palit and The Curses. I know a few people in Palit but never heard of Curses. I'll link their website if I am able to find an address.
Reading the book "A Cultural Dictionary of Punk: 1974-1982" by Nicholas Rombes. Pretty nerdy stuff but pretty cool if you are interested in music/art history. It's not in a linear form so it's easy to read here and there.
June 16th, 2010
We're playing this weekend at Angels party. He's one of our biggest fan here in Austin. The Ape-Shits are playing with us and there's also gonna be ping pong and DJs- latino heat and the gouch
I have been watching too much soccer lately, even walking up early in the morning to see teams I'm excited about. I'm pretty sad the hosting team lost today. I wish they have a free card to the second round- I really hope they win their next game. I am not really going for a particular team but I'm just happy to see so many different people converging together and having so much fun. I can't wait to see South Korea play Argentina tomorrow. I know it seems like everyone has gone world cup mad crazy but it's the biggest party ever and how can you be against parties!
I need a vuvuzela. I love the noise it makes. I just need to incorporate it on one of our songs and that's pretty easy to do. It's probably easy to mimic on a synthesizer but I'm sure like anything else, there's no substitute for the real thing. Anyway, here's a line from one of my favorite band. RIP Robert Quine.

We played Friday at The Scoot Inn. Man it's been awhile since we played there last- thanks to everyone that came out. Our friends Serious Tracers and The Bulemics played with us. We are also lucky enough to be playing Angels birthday party on the 19th of this month. We're playing with the Apeshits and The Ripe, tentatively I suppose. Should be a fun time; and plus, there's gonna be ping pong. I love ping pong.
We're also playing with Dead Space and Palit on the 25th at Beerland- Thanks Garret. I hope to introduce a couple of new songs we're working on for a couple of months now. I know I have been saying this forever but we really do have plenty of songs but have the hardest time writing lyrics-
I know why the caged bird sings
and flaps its tethered wings.
Birds were meant to fly away,
and birds were meant to sing.-from "CAGED BIRD,"

Chaos in Tejas is just a few days away. Our drummer just got in town tonight from her tour in Europe. We have not practice in almost a month and we are playing a show at End of an Ear the 29th of May with Kim Phuc and Twin Stumps. I also can't wait to see the A-Frames Friday- I have not seen them in years. I am really excited and also overwhelmed by all the happenings in town. What to do, what to do? It's another sleepless weekend and I am hoping for a memorable adventure. Hope you can make it.
May 17th, 2010
We're playing a show at End of an Ear on the 29th of May, Saturday at 4pm. Here's the line up:
We're also playing at the Scoot Inn with our long time friend Toby Marsh of the Open Casket and Serious Tracers on the 4th of June. There's should be another band added. I'll let you know as soon as I am more informed. Have a great summer and stay near trouble.
May 4th, 2010
Introducing Mila Schindler, our bassist new born and only child. I've been meaning to post this actually, sorry it took a little while. We had a crawfish boil last weekend and I just finally got enough Milla time to actually be motivated to get into action.

Alyse flew to Europe today with the Hex Dispensers, her other band, for three weeks. Have a great time guys. We're not playing till she gets back. Our next show is on the 29th of May at End of an Ear. We might be playing with touring bands- I'll try to post more info as I get them........and oh yeah, Happy Birthday Alyse!!!
April 25th, 2010
We're playing a show during Chaos in Tejas. We're playing an in-store at End of an Ear on the 29th of May- thanks Timmy. I still do not know who we're playing with but I'll post it as soon as I find out.
We're playing this coming Thursday at Trailer Space with Horse + Donkey and Criatura. We're playing first so come early. Our show should end around ten so you have plenty of time to make it to the Blue Flamingo Reunion Show at Plush. It should be a really fun night. Friday is not gonna be very productive day.
April 20th, 2010

We finally got a show together. We're playing with one of my favorite band in Austin, Horse + Donkey, and the up and coming Criaturas. It's gonna be our last show before Alyse heads for Europe with the Hex Dispensers. I really hope we can be productive during the break. We're still waiting on the release of our last album in Europe. Madds has been very busy and had little bit of bad luck. Anyway, I think it should come out soon.
We have a couple of new songs to try out. I hope I can write the lyrics before then. Come out if you can. It should be super punk rock.
April 11th, 2010
There was a Musical Lottery League held at Red 7 last night. I was actually one of the members. The premise for the league was to get musicians into a practice space for about 5-8 hours during the day and write songs, then play their set the same night. It's an awesome idea and plus you'll get a chance to play with other musicians you probably will never have a chance to play with. We named our band Vacation Bible School- we found the name on the shirt I was wearing during the lottery pick which was held the night before the show. My band mates were Nick Yaklin from Ripe, Ian McDougal from The Riverboat Gamblers, and Brandon Crowe from Cause for Applause. We came up with eight songs but withdrew one. We also had a CCR cover but opted for The Replacements "Can't Hardly Wait". Fun times- can't wait till next year.

Nick did not make it to the lottery when this photo was taken.
March 23, 2010
SXSW was awesome. After seing so many bands, I am actually not exhausted but more eager to make music. I doubt were practicing this week but there's still lots of work that could be done individually. We do not have any shows coming up, our bass player is having a baby soon and we've alotted a few weeks for the new family member to arrive. Hopefully we can start playing again late April, but maybe it could be May till play out again. We'll try to have a couple of new songs by then. Take care and good nite.
March 7th, 2010
We got a show thank god. We're playing Creekside Lounge Saturday afternoon around 3:45pm I think. We're playing with The Lost Controls, Turbo Fruits, and Occult Detective Club, Black Panda, This Moment in Black History and others. We've never played there before but it should be pretty cool.
We're excited to play this weekend with Serious Tracers, Lenguas Largas, and Ghost Knife at Emos- just love that Emo's sound system. It's only free if you have a SXSW Interactive and Film badge, otherwise it should be around six dollars- Lenguas Largas are from Tucson. Give them a listen- they make some pretty interesting sounds and great melodies. Can't wait to see them play. See you then.
March 2nd, 2010
Our show on the 20th of March fell through- we might be stuck playing the only show we have during south by. Anyway, let us know if you have an opening Saturday. Here's the flyer we've made for our Wednesday showcase.
February 21st, 2010
We just added a new show next month. We're playing at Emo's on Saturday, the 13th of March, with Woven Bones. I'm still not certain who else is on the bill but I'm pretty sure it should be worth attending- I'll post more information soon.
Our bass player is having a baby really soon, around early April. Congratulation Bj and Tina. There might just be a song called Mila.
Here's the line up for our Wednesday night show at Beerland during SXSW, the Super Secret/Mortville showcase:
And just for your information, The Muffs, The Spits, Woven Bones, Cruddy and more are playing Beerland BEFORE our show, Beerlands free day show. If you're free, you might as well hang out all day. You can check out more NON SXSW shows at Austin Showlist.
We had a little write up on The Deli's Austin Chapter. It's a quick read but it might be at the end of the page by now. Thanks London.
February 15th, 2010
I made a mistake earlier. Our show during SXSW is on a Saturday the 20th of March and NOT Friday. Again we are playing Beerland Wednesday night and Saturday night during SXSW and both are non-sxsw show- that means you do not need a wrist band to see us or pay an enormous amount of money. I am hoping our friends from Brooklyn, the Peace Killers, can join us on our Saturday bill. Anyway, can't wait to play out the new songs.
I just read this article about this Artist Ensemble (Okay Mountain) here in Austin and I would like share it with you. Here's the link. Anyway, they made installations for Pulse Art in Miami and then Texas State University in San Marcus. Read it, it's short and inspiring. These guys are so awesome!

Paul and Baldomero of Kingdom of Suicide Lovers
Last week was the longest ever. There was so much things going on. Three days of Rock and Roll for the Casual Victim Pile record release at Beerland and of course Super Bowl Sunday. Needless to say I'm still un-nerved by all the events but I am very happy New Orleans came on top of their game against the Colts.
We secured a second show during SXSW at a friends party in the east side of town Friday night- I can't believe it's only a month away. Anyway, I really hope you can experience SXSW this year since it seems like it shapping up to be a good fun.
We're playing this Saturday at the Parlor. Come join us. I promise you a slice of pizza and a heart shaped love song earache.
January 30th, 2010
I just posted a few songs we've recorded at WFMU and a show we played at the Scoot Inn. You can download them for free here or just go to the media link and chose music. I hope that you'll enjoy the difference of a live recording.
Our next show is at the Parlor with Acid Reflux, Hex Dispencers and The Altars. It's gonna be tight, tight, tight. I really hope the weather will be a bit cooler then. Anyway, I just made this flyer for the show- see you then.
January 22nd, 2010
Something definitely changed. This water taste different. It's a lot warmer, it has a foul smell and a yellow tinge to it. How can the Supreme Court have voted the way they did last Thursday on the Campaign Finance Reform? Ithought they suppose to keep corruption out of politics. I thought they were public servants- to serve the majority of the people. What happened? Were all fucked man. Read more here.
I do not wanna go through loopholes to fix the problem. Is there anyway we can change their mind or get rid of these people who voted for it? It is just apparent they are not on the peoples side.
The Corporations made a move. They know their time is nearing if they do not. Theres no time for complacency, we need to press on.
January 19th, 2009
Our next show is at the Parlor near our home in Austin. We're playing with the Hex Dispensers and Acid Reflux. Our friend Tim Hefner booked the show- he is also responsible for organizing the Chaos in Tejas Fest late in May. It's a free show and it should be a great time.
SXSW is quickly approaching. We are scheduled to play our annual show at Beerland for the Super Secret Records showcase on Wednesday, the 17th of March. We are also playing Obsolete Studio, our good friend Billy Bishop's screen printing studio, with the Terrible Twos and Ratas Del Vaticano either Friday the 19th or Saturday, the 20th of March. I'll try to post any schedule change or any relevant detail worth mentioning.
Still our prayers goes the brave souls in Haiti. A friend of mine was in Haiti during the Earthquake. Coincidentally, he's a freelance journalist. Here's a link to his web blog: mediahacker.org. If you wanna know what is realy going on in Haiti, this a great place to read about it. Thanks Ansel and safe travels.

It's been a devastating week. Too much suffering. I do not wanna be negative but sometimes I just wanna kick people in the face for the things they say. I really should stop watching the television.
